Wine Appreciation
September 2017 – this meeting’s tasting consisted of a chablis and 3 rioja’s(crianza, reserva and a gran reserva). The gran reserva, baron de ley Camino del monte, was full of blackberries with soft tannins and great length at £13 from Morrisons. It proved the favourite.
December 2017 Our Christmas meeting had masses of cheese with crackers and 4 excellent wines. A Tesco finest Gerwurztstraminer was very full and spicy at £9 and a Grant Burge Reserve Shiraz very full fruit flavours,spicy finish and great length at £8 also Tesco. Happy Christmas. John Slater
