What is the u3a? The u3a is a unique and exciting charitable organisation which provides life-enhancing and life-changing opportunities. Retired and semi-retired people come together and learn together, not for qualifications but for its own reward: the sheer joy of discovery!
What does Eastwood & District u3a offer? Currently we have over 35 activity groups, and 320+ members. You are sure to find a group which you are interested in attending, where you can discuss, learn and socialise with a really friendly and welcoming group of people. We share our skills and life experiences. Please see the Groups page for a full list of activities. As well as the numerous groups to attend, Eastwood & District u3a normally arranges various events throughout the year which include day trips, annual lunches, Christmas celebrations, as well as Monthly Meetings that include invited speakers – currently on Zoom but soon to be face to face. We are hoping to begin hybrid Monthly Meetings from October. Some people will be able to meet up in St Mary’s while others join in on Zoom. The speakers will initially be on Zoom – on a big screen.
We welcome members from across the district and beyond.
EXPAND YOUR HORIZONS!
